For the HELL of it
70
The hour is coming
I saw on You tube a clip where microphones were placed into the earth, and they picked up sounds of people in hell.....I just want to add here that it is a load of Rubbish.....and here are the reasons why.....
I have seen many people questioning the subject of Death and what happens when you die, but it is important that you may identify the different regions of after death and also what happens to your Spirit, Soul and Body
From the outset I will tell you that there are 4 Hells, and each one is different and serves a different purpose, the scriptures used, will also indicate "who" goes there, "what" goes there and "when" , yes, it is a mouth full, but it is a word driven biblical proof of the existence, of these places.
I can assure you that it is very easy to understand, you will be invoked with questions, that always seemed vague in your mind.
The word Hell is used in almost all the scriptures but the understanding of which hell is spoken about, is the key to a better understanding of Gods word
Below are the only ones mentioned in all the scriptures and translated in 4 ways, so extracting the Hebrew and Greek meanings from the Original scriptures is what we will see below :-
HEBREW
Sheol....grave.... pit.......hell....the place where all people go when they die, place of the dead
Gehenna…..Lake of fire ....the place where the unwanted is discarded, to be burnt, derived from a rubbish dump outside Jerusalem
GREEK
Hades……grave...the place where all people go when they die.
Geena….....lake of fire...the place where the lost is cast into, to be burnt
Tartaroo .......a condition reserved for the fallen angels, that sinned against God
Abyssos......region for fallen angels a region for spirits where movement is restricted
I will insert the Hebrew word for the "hell" being spoken of. It is advisable to note the words "Spirit" Soul" and "Body" in these verses.
Old Testament and Hebrew meanings.
Grave
Psalms:89:48: What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave (Sheol..grave place of the dead)
Psalms:16:10: For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (Sheol....grave place of the dead)
Ec:9:5: For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Ec:9:6: Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
Ec:9:10: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave (Sheol...place of the dead), whither thou goest.
Job:14:13: O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave (Sheol...place of the dead), that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and

will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
Eze:37:12: Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves (Sheol...place of the dead), and cause you to come up out of your graves (Sheol.....place of the dead), and bring you into the land of Israel.

Hell
Deu 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
2Sa 22:6 The sorrows of hell(Sheol.....place of the dead) compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
Job 11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell (Sheol.....place of the dead); what canst thou know?
Job 26:6 Hell (Sheol.....place of the dead) is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

Psa 55:15 Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell (Sheol.....place of the dead): for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, and among them.
Psa 86:13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell (Sheol.....place of the dead).
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Pit
Isa:38:18: For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit (Sheol.....place of the dead) cannot hope for thy truth.
Isa:38:17: Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit (Sheol.....place of the dead) of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
Psalms:69:15: Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit (Sheol). (place of the dead) shut her mouth upon me.
From these verses you can comfortably say the grave is where all go to, we all know what a grave is, whether it is called a mausoleum, tomb, or sepulchre they are still the same namely
Hebrew ..Sheol....grave.. pit .... the place where all people go when they die. The.place of the dead, to add to this there is no life in the grave, dead is dead,
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Gehenna
The term is derived from the story of the valley of Hinnom where evil worship was done and King Josiah turned the area into a place of abomination where dead bodies and all ungodly
paraphernalia were thrown into and burnt.1Ki:11:7, and 2Ki:23:10, 13, 14.
Gai Ben Hinnom is a natural valley outside Jerusalem, see: Joshua 15:8, Joshua 18:16, 2 Kings 23:10, 2, Chronicles 28:3, 2 Chronicles 33:6, Nehemiah 11:30, Jeremiah 7:31,32, Jeremiah 19:2, Jeremiah 19:6, Jeremiah 32:35...... Refuse and dead matter was burnt there.
Gehenna, gehinnam, or gehinnom
It was this term "Gehenna" that Jesus used, and "Geenna" expressed in Greek in the New Testament. The Old Testament is not as descriptive as the New Testament concerning the lake of Fire judgement day,

Hell and how it is used in the New Testament, and the Greek meanings and descriptions.
Grave
Mat 11:23 ...... which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell (Hades ....grave).
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell (Hades ....grave) shall not prevail against it.

Joh:5:28: Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves (Hades ....grave) shall hear his voice,
Act 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (Hades ....grave), neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell (Hades ....grave) and of death.
Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell (Hades ....grave) followed with him.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell (Hades ....grave) delivered up the dead which were in them:
Rev 20:14 And death and hell (Hades ....grave) were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Geenna
Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell (Geenna….....lake of fire fire the judgement).
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast
into hell (Geenna….....lake of fire fire the judgement).
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Geenna….....lake of fire fire the judgement).
Mar 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell (Geenna….....lake of fire fire the judgement), into the fire
that never shall be quenched:
Jam 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell
(Geenna….....lake of fire fire the judgement).
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Tartaroo
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jude:1:6: And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Tartaroo is a "spirit" prison of darkness not in a hole or in hades or bottomless pit or geenna.
Its a condition that subdues Satan and his fallen angels, and the "keys" and "chain" is the word of God as it is also "Spirit" the "Light", as you can see the "chains of darkness" is what holds them in a reserved environment till the lake of Fire.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Abyssos
Rev 9:1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
Rev 9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:11And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were
not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Rev 20:1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after
that he must be loosed a little season.
This verse also has to be understood with another word commonly known as "Bottomless pit" "abyssos" also known as abyss.

I will start with this question . Did Jesus Christ go to hell??
The answer is yes and no, reason being there are four hells, which one did he go to.
No Jesus did not go to Hell the fire (Geena/ Gehenna) No He did not go to Tartaroo.
Yes Jesus did go to Hell the grave (Sheol/Hades), the place where all the dead go and have been going since the beginning.
There is also one area that some seem to be a truth but it is a false interpretation of the scripture and taking the verses out of context
When Jesus died they are led to believe that Jesus went and preached to spirits in hell,
It is important that the scriptures harmonise with other scriptures, otherwise it would be a scripture all by itself, and contradictory to other scriptures.
1Pe:3:19: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
This verse is talking about Jesus ministry, its not talking about Jesus going to hell and preaching to Spirits. We as humans were cut off from God spiritually while we are alive. There are no Spirits in the grave, only dead humans, not even humans spirit goes to the grave. Our fleshly bodies was our prison, and when he gave us the Holy Spirit he set us free from this body of sin the prison
Eph:4:9: Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
This verese confirms that Jesus died and went to the grave "Hell" lower parts of the earth, lower parts here is not a different compartment to the grave but the grave itself
I cover the different parts of the human the Spirit, Soul and Body in the hub Death what now and what goes where

More on the lake of Fire
This earth is going to come to an end in approximately 1000 or so years from now, the age of this earth will give up and burn up like the rest of the dead planets out in the universe.
Re:19:20: And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Re:20:10: And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Re:20:14: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Re:20:15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Take note in Rev 20:14, both death and grave will be destroyed. this also so says only after this will there never be death and a grave again.
Re:21:1: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Thank you for your discernment!! Even many Christians still do not want to believe that there's a real Hell. But the Bible clearly states that there is. And you have done a fantastic job breaking down each division. This is not a pleasant or easy subject to discuss, as it reveals God's Righteousness and Judgement. And the reality of Hell is one most do not want to face. Blessings again!! ~K
wow- you know I am a fan of defining our terms and keeping context accurate!! You have done an excellent job of that here HooWTS. Nice Hub! Thanks for posting it on my question.
Very educational. I hope I never go there. God Bless
Info is great - I only knew about Dante's description of Hell. I thought Hell in the bible meant "separation from God" and not an actual place that can be located on a map.
Dear HOOWANTSTONO,
I will give you $100 dollars if you can show me the phrase "fallen angel" in the Scriptures...
You know where to find me.
Really?
I ask you for a Scripture with the PHRASE "fallen angel" and you give me verses with your interpretation saying it "sounds like a fallen angel".
Lucifer was a title originally given to the KING OF BABYLON. See Dr. Strong's Hebrew Concordance and also
http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=lucifer
for reference. The LATIN word "lucifer" wasn't even a proper name until the Catholic Church began to teach their doctrine. You ever wonder why Jews don't believe that Satan was a fallen angel? I mean your so-called "proof-scripture" is found in their own Hebrew bible? Also, do you ever wonder why many English bibles don't even have the word Lucifer in them? They know better that's why.
Obviously, the words rubber or car aren't in the KJV because they are recent inventions. Though I do appreciate your sense of humor.
Good day.
PS: Had you of actually READ my Lucifer hub ( http://hubpages.com/hub/Lucifer-The-Hoax-Exposed) BEFORE you commented on it 6 weeks ago, you would have known all this already.
Satan is the "crafty serpent... whom the Lord God made" who deceived Eve in the Garden, true. However, Satan was never an "archangel" named Lucifer. You can thank the Latin Church for that doctrine.
When God told Isaiah to speak a prophecy to the King of Babylon (Isaiah 14:4) did Isaiah then go to Satan? No, he went to the King of the ancient nation of Babylon. This entire prophecy was directed to the King of ancient Babylon foretelling of the fall of his kingdom. "Heaven" is used as a figure of speech, in the same way Jesus used it when He said to Capernaum:
"And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell (HADES): for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day." Matthew 11:23
Was the city of Capernaum in a literal place called "heaven"? No. It's symbolic of the high position and security they thought they were in. Neither were they literally taken to a place called "hades". The ancient city was destroyed just a few centuries after Christ's resurrection, symbolized by "hades" which literally means "unseen".
You say there are "holes" in my Lucifer hub; please do share since you failed to in your initial comments on it before. You can START with explaining to me why the KJV doesn't transliterate the Latin "Lucifer" in the following two verses (though it is found in the Latin Vulgate-from which the KJV was largely translated from):
JOB 11:17 “And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the MORNING (Vulgate = lucifer).“
II PETER 1:19 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the DAY STAR (Vulgate = lucifer) arise in your hearts:”
...Oh, and one more thing. Despite your belief that Satan rebelled against God, I can't help but find it quite fascinating that no where in Scripture do we find Satan disobeying an order from God.
* Satan asked God's permission before testing Job.
* When Jesus told Satan to leave Him, he left.
Why? I mean, this being is such the rebellious type, since when does he follow God's orders?
Same thing with the demons, when Christ told them to leave a body they had possessed, they left. Why? if these demons were supposedly fallen angels who had rebelled with Satan, then why do they now follow God's orders?
Please present me ONE verse where God says to Satan or a demon 'do this or that' and Satan or the demon's response is "no". I mean, I can find several passages where God tells a human to do something and they refuse (take Jonah for example), yet NOT ONCE do we read where Satan or any demon disobeys an order from God!
Wow... You say to me "Toss the vulgate in the bin go to the original Greek and Hebrew", yet it is YOU who keeps telling me that Satan used to be an archangel named "Lucifer"... "Lucifer" IS LATAN! Not Hebrew or Greek! It is literally a "transliteration" from the Latin Vulgate! It is YOU who needs to "toss the vulgate in the bin".
Here is what Satan really IS:
"God created a Serpent ... not an archangel:
“Now the SERPENT was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had MADE. And he [the serpent] said unto the woman...”
Genesis 3:1
Who created the serpent? God did. 2nd Witness:
“By His [God's] Spirit he hath garnished the heavens; His hand hath formed the crooked SERPENT.” Job 26:13
Who is the serpent?
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old SERPENT, called the Devil, and SATAN...” Revelation 12:9
2nd Witness:
“He seized the dragon, that ancient SERPENT, who is the devil, or SATAN, and bound him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:2
Throughout the Scriptures, Satan is called many things—serpent, devil [demon], dragon, leviathan, father of lies, adversary, destroyer, roaring lion… but NOT ONCE is Satan called an ‘archangel’!"
--Excerpt from my Lucifer hub that you CLAIM to have read.---
It is NOT "I" who continues to parade Satan as being formerly a beautiful and perfect angelic being of the Lord, who later turned himself into a devil... It is YOU who says that, along with the Organized Church.
I say he IS and ALWAYS WAS a "crafty serpent". He is and always was a liar, a murderer, a deceiver. He was NEVER an archangel. He was NEVER "good".
...But most important, Satan is not a "free" being that is able to do whatever he wishes.. He must answer to God. He must get permission from God before he is able to do anything.
If you won't believe what I've said about Satan, though I've provided Scriptures and definitions, who's to say you will believe anything I say in regards to Jesus Christ?
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the World. If you really want to know the details, I have 44 hubs, read them.
Good day.
Funny how whenever someone is caught in a lie, rather than confess of their err and apologize, they turn to slander.
I avoided none of your questions, nor did I twist or ignore any scriptures... and YOU KNOW IT!
One day you will repent of these words you speak and these lies you teach in the Name of Christ. It may not happen in this lifetime, but it will happen I assure you.
This is the last comment I will leave on your hub site. You know where to find me. Good bye now.
