Description of God

There are many ideas of who God is, what is God. The best is to find out from God.

The Bible and only the bible is able to describe and give evidence of who God is.

The word of God "Bible" is a collection of records from men that had experienced the reality of God, in their every day lives, which is just as ordinary as ours is today, but some men were chosen to be used by God for God to expose and reveal himself to man. And eventually God became a man and revealed himself to man, which led to God living in man, and man revealing God to man. The bible I will use is the KJV, and I want to stress from the start, I will try and say as little possible from my own mind and put words in your mouth.

Who was God speaking to, concerning his creation????. Plain and simple he was speaking to Moses, and Moses delivered this information as we read it today.

Lets start at "The Beginning" Genesis.

Ge:1:1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Ge:1:2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

So from these two verses we see "GOD" and we see God has a "SPIRIT" I use "a" here to imply singular. Spirit implies "of" the part of God

Ge:1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Ge:1:6: And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Ge:1:9: And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

Ge:1:11: And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Ge:1:14: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Ge:1:20: And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Ge:1:24: And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

This is a very important scripture as to how it is used

Ge:1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image (tselem), after our likeness(dĕmuwth): and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

"Our Image" = tselem (Hebrew)....image, likeness (of resemblance)

"Our likeness" = dĕmuwth (Hebrew)..... likeness, similitude

In these verses we see clearly that " God said" and this "God said" is the key to what God is.

So far we see God has a "Spirit", and God speaks .

"God said" is repeated 20 times in Genesis, but only once does God say , "Let us" and after "our". and let "them".

This is the key in these scriptures, to what God has planned and how the plan will result.

Here is the outcome of the plan.

Ge:2:7: And the LORD God formed man ('adam) of the dust (`aphar ) of the ground ('adamah), and breathed ( naphach)into his nostrils the breath of life (nĕshamah); and man('adam) became a living soul ( nephesh)

Man = Dust + Spirit + Soul

'adam = `aphar + naphach + nephesh

So it is evident that Gods plan in Ge:1:26 became a reality in Ge:2:7, but lets take a deeper look, at MAN and from this we can make some deductions.

Man has three evident things and these three things have their own purpose but never independent in operation.

The body was made from DUST, and for this body to become alive and also be alive and live the BREATH OF LIFE was breathed into the nostrils, and not only did the body become alive but also a character for the body became evident, it became a LIVING SOUL.

So MAN is created, and contains the three elements that make him up, the Bible also goes on to give names to these three parts as Spirit, Soul and Body.

As mentioned these three have different purposes, but also designed to function as "ONE". That "ONE" is called MAN.

Now lets reverse this and remind ourselves that MAN is created in the IMAGE of GOD, and their LIKENESS. The reason I used "their" likeness is because God said "OUR" likeness.

So what is it about MAN that is " IMAGE and LIKENESS."?????

The bible is the only book or compilation of books that harmonizes. If it says something, it will say it again and again in many different ways but yet about the same thing.

Just a note here.

Ge:1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

This verse actually tells us that man carries both sex gender male and female, hence when God created eve he took female gender from Adam to create Eve, "Flesh of my Flesh, bone of my bone.

Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Joh:1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh:1:2: The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh:1:3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Here we can see that the WORD is God ,.then this adds light to the bit where Genesis says "God said" so when GOD issued words the words themselves are Gods WORD.and contain the formula of the creation.So the WORD of God is the other part of God that means "US".

To this point we now have God's make up as Spirit of God and Word of God, but MAN is made of three parts, so what is Gods third part, to complete the IMAGE and LIKENESS,

Jesus tells us what the missing part is, which was never used in the Old Testament, or even mentioned. Here it is

Joh:5:37: And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Joh:1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So the missing part is the Father. Now we have Father, Word of God and Spirit of God.

These three are " ONE " .When I use the word ONE, I use it as MAN is one Spirit, Soul, and Body.

The Spirit of God has a name and Jesus tells us his name.

Joh:14:16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh:14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Joh:15:26: But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Joh:16:7: Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

In these versus it is clear that God is three parts with one purpose.

The Father created a plan in his mind and he spoke the plan into being by the Word that came out his mouth, power of the Word is the SPIRIT of God.

The Father has made it possible for himself to come and live inside sinners and make them Holy for himself. The Father had to become a MAN and die as a MAN and he called himself Jesus Christ, the reason he is called the only begotten of the Father ,is, because he is the Fathers only self, the Fathers only gene as such.

The Greek meaning for only begotten is " MONO GENES" the only seed God has of himself.. God sent himself (Holy Spirit, Spirit of God) to Mary, to be combined with Mary, and caused the Mono genes of God to combine with MAN in Mary. Conception takes place, and called him Emmanuel

M't:1:18: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

M't:1:23: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

So God became a MAN he died as a MAN totally cut of from himself as God, this represented MAN cut off from God 100%, Jesus was not allowed to take a shortcut, he had to be MAN 100%, Jesus was abandoned by the Father , Jesus cried out .

M't:27:46: And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

M'r:15:34: And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Joh:14:10: Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Joh:14:11: Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Joh:10:30: I and my Father are one.

Joh:17:22: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Joh:14:9: Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

So we have seen God become a MAN we have seen God send the Comforter the Holy Spirit. Now where does the Comforter live if Jesus went to heaven

Ga:2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Ga:5:25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Lu:11:13: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Eph:1:13: In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph:4:30: And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

1Th:4:8: He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

So Gods plan for MAN was for him to come and live in MAN.

The two scriptures that describes it completely are

1Jo:5:7: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

1Jo:5:8: And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Joh:14:20: At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you

So some might think there are three Gods but the maths for this would be 1 x 1 x 1 = 1 and not 1+1+1 = 3
